Following are the Ophthalmic Products:
New concept of customized scleral matched and prevention conformer for un-bearable painful eye socket. The posterior contours surface of the conformer is matched with the anterior contours of the socket to achieve the highest comfort level of the socket. It is made from extra virgin UK made PMMA.
New light weight prosthesis for empty sockets is 50% lighter than conventional prosthesis. The new light weight prosthesis doubles the mobility and does not require cleaning 4,5 times a day. It requires cleaning only once in two weeks
New light weight ocular prosthesis is used in large ocular sockets. Bio-incompatible residuals are removed through specialized heat activated polymerization which makes this prosthesis 95% monomer free. It is absolutely inert and socket friendly and is extremely smooth and non-absorbent (Hydro-Phobic)

The Orbital Implant is re-adjustable and can fit any size.
Silicon Suction pump is used to insert and removal of an artificial eye from the socket.
Sahaf Enucleation Implant helps to make artificial eye thin for better mobility of artificial eye.
A custom made Transparent cosmetic contact shell is specially designed for opaque eye with flat cornea which looks equal in size and moves like companion eye.
Sclera shell is Used in the following conditions:
- To prevent symblepharon formation in case of chemical or hot metal burns of the conjunctiva
- As a splint following mucous membrane graft
- Therapeutic effect on rosacea keratitis, a complication following corneal grafting
- In patients with chemotic prolapsing conjuctiva
- Trichiasis in blind eye
Implants / conformers & scleral shells are readily available at Sights.
Enucleation implant is used where the entire eye including the globe is removed but the orbital contents are left in place.They are used in the orbit after Enucleation to achieve better mobility of the artificial eye. Enucleation implants are readily available in different sizes consisting of 14 mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm at Sights.
Evisceration Ball Implant is used where the contents of eye are removed but the outer layer of eye (Sclera) is left intact. Evisceration Ball Implants are readily available in different sizes consisting of 10mm 12mm,14 mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm,22mm at Sights.
These plastic shells are installed in the socket immediately after Enucleation/Evisceration to prevent socket contracture. Usually these are kept in situ for about 4 weeks till the wound heals. Then replace these with artificial eyes. Conformers are readily available at Sights in different sizes Baby,Small, Medium and Large made from extra virgin UK made PMMA.
These conformers of increasing sizes can be started at very early age (4 to 6 weeks) to facilitate socket growth and then followed by Artificial eye after 2-3 years of age
Ocular prosthesis can be custom made or a stock shell. To improve the comfort and matching of the prosthesis with that of the adjacent natural eye an custom made ocular prosthesis is preferred.
